American film actor Stephen Furst has passed away in his California home due to complications with diabetes.
Best known for getting his Hollywood start in the American film ‘Animal House’, Furst departed this life at the age of 63 in his Moorpark, California home on Friday.
“Steve has a long list of earthly accomplishments,” his two sons said in a statement, adding, “He was known to the world as a brilliant and prolific actor and filmmaker, but to his family and many dear friends he was also a beloved husband, father and kind friend whose memory will always be a blessing.”
His on-screen credits include ‘Delta House’, ‘Babylon 5’ and ‘St. Elsewhere’, among others.
Furst was a spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association.
His wife, Lorraine Wright, also died earlier this year.
